Trump-Putin Call-Pistorius: “Submit low expectations”

Date:

The German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has accused US President Donald Trump of bad conversations about a conversation in the struggle for a cease -the fire in Ukraine. “He just didn’t really rule the negotiation situation with Vladimir Putin,” the politician said on Wednesday.

“You don’t actually do that before you enter the negotiations, and that is of course a very bad position to continue to lead peace negotiations or ceases -fires.” He had not had many expectations before the phone: “These expectations were still undermining.”

Nevertheless, he did not want to give up hope, Pistorius said. “As long as there is still spoken, there is hope.” The Russian ruler Putin sets conditions that are unacceptable for a truce. The new EU sanctions are therefore correct. It must be about reducing money flows to finance the war by selling oil and gas.

US waiting for a Moscow suggestion
The United States is waiting for a proposal from Moscow for a cease -the Fires in Ukraine after the phone call from Trump and Putin. “I think Putin will always close a deal if he believes that this is in his best interest, for the country, for Russia and for his view of the world,” said American State Secretary Marco Rubio.

The Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Senskyj expressed himself for a leading role of Washington in further negotiations, despite the waiting attitude of the White House. “It is America that is feared by Russia, and it is the American influence that can save many lives when it is used as a means to move Putin to end the war,” he said Tuesday evening.

The 17th sanction package that the EU has passed is “a step in the right direction”. Among other things, a more difficult approach to the so -called Russian shadow fleet is planned for the transport of oil and oil products.
