The Dutch secret services have identified a hacker group that is supported by the Russian government as the author of cyber attacks at various institutions in Europe.
The ‘raccoon’ group that was attacked last year included the Dutch police, NATO and various European authorities, such as domestic and abroad and military secret service on Tuesday.
Accordingly, the group was most likely supported by the Russian government. She acted undiscovered until she was detected in a hacker attack in September 2024.
The hackers would have directed information about Western weapons to Ukraine. Data on purchasing and production of military equipment were also the purpose of the attacks.
