The Executive Committee of UEFA will only approve the allocation and distribution criteria for the 2024 European Championship club benefit program, which, every four years, is based on the amount generated by the UEFA EURO final tournament and paid to the clubs that have contributed to the success of all UEFA nationals team competitions by lending players for those battles.
The amount available for the 2020/24 cycle is € 240m, as set out in the Memorandum of Understanding signed by UEFA and the ECA in February 2019.
This program will cover the UEFA Nations League, European Qualifiers and UEFA EURO 2024 final tournament matches, and the distribution system will remain unchanged compared to EURO 2020 which ended last summer.
Some € 100 million will be awarded in player loans for the two editions of the UEFA Nations League in 2021 and currently, as well as for the European Qualifiers for EURO 2024. This represents an increase of € 30 million compared to the European Championship of 2020 and can guarantee greater unity with a large number of European clubs.
Also, the amount insured for the transfer of players to the final stage of the 2024 European Championship will increase from 130 to 140 million euros. UEFA has already distributed 220 million to 697 clubs from 55 federations after the dispute with Eurocup last summer.
