New controversy in women’s football: the referee’s receipt

Women’s football has new controversy again; the third which is almost consecutively added to the value set by the cards for the clubs of the new professional competition or the equivalent of the competition ball after the college members include in their minutes that the new professional women’s league is played with a ball. As this newspaper has learned, last week the RFEF has sent a communication to the clubs with the costs for the matches played in the month of September. Well, in this federative communication, it sets the cost of the arbitration for the local team (which bears these costs) at almost 15,000 euros.

An amount that caused a total surprise because it did not respond to what was agreed last month on the occasion of the agreement on the new salary of female referees and assistants in football and which was made public on September 15. On that day (as in addition to the new salary of 1,066 euros per game for the referee, 1,006 for the assistant and 250 for the fourth referee) the arbitration costs per game in the new professional women’s league are set at 4,050 euros. An amount that indicates an increase of almost 1,000 euros compared to the 3,300 euros paid last season, the last one that was not a professional competition. But never the economic value that the federation informed them. Because this implies that each club will have to pay approximately 225,000 euros per issue in this regard, which corresponds to 15 out of 30 in the competition playing at home. An amount that is far from the 60,750 euros agreed to be paid in this matter for these fifteen meetings.

New controversy that, as has happened in recent months in everything related to the relations between RFEF and the LPFFyou have to solve the CDS. Especially when it is included in this agreement that was signed more than a month ago where it was also agreed that the CDS contributing 350,000 euros a year for a mutual fund when referees finish their careers and something similar RFEF allocates to clubs to help pay new arbitration salaries. So it has to be Secretary of State for Sports, José Manuel Franco, who had to intervene to resolve the new conflict in the new professional women’s league.
