About 250 members of the Spanish Federation will meet this weekend in Puente Tocinos to prepare the 2023 race calendar
More than 18 years have passed since Murcia hosted the last National Assembly of Colombiculture. And today, from 11 a.m. at the Mesón La Torre de Puente Tocinos, all the territorial federations and the Royal Spanish Federation of Colombian Culture (RFEC) will be present at the most important and transcendent meeting of this sporting modality.
The RFEC, which yesterday already moved part of its technical and logistics team to Murcia, has enabled one of the rooms of the well-known Murcian restaurant to accommodate the 250 members of the General Assembly, as well as the guests who come from different places on the international stage such as Miami, Cuba or Argentina, where colombicultura is also present and increasingly emerging.
Javier Prades, president of the RFEC, and Pepe Rubio, president of the Federation of Colombiculture of the Region of Murcia (FCRM), agreed a few months ago that Murcia would host the meeting. The regional colombicultura is having a great moment, as La Algaida-Archena achieved a very good score in the last National, as far as the organization is concerned, and almost in all probability El Algar’s company will be the one chosen to host the National of Communities of the year 2023.
This weekend in Puente Tocinos you have to choose the place where the national youth tournament takes place and El Algar has also positioned itself as one of the best options. Thus, the council of Cartagena would be left with two of the most important competitions of this sport at European level. In addition, information will be given about the new rings made to identify birds, which are less heavy and made of harmless and non-polluting material.
