Ziyech’s great goal before the World Cup

In their last friendly before the World Cup, Morocco beat Georgia 3-0 on Thursday in Sharjah (United Arab Emirates) and the second goal was a great goal from Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech, who scored from his own half of the field.

The Moroccan team will debut at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar on Wednesday, November 23, against Croatia, the current runner-up. On Sunday the 27th, the North Africans face Belgium and on Thursday, December 1, Canada.

Against Georgia En-Nesyri put Morocco ahead in the 5th minute by beating Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, Ziyech doubled the lead on 29′ with his excellent goal and Boufal rounded off the result for the North Africans by converting the penalty (72′).

Moroccan midfielder from Marseille, Amine Harit, underwent surgery on his left knee on Thursday and will miss the rest of the season. He was replaced in Morocco’s World Cup roster by Anass Zaroury (Burnley).

Morocco’s eleven consists of: Bono; Achraf, Saiss, Aguerd, Attiyat; Ounahi, Jabrane; Ziyech, Amallah, Boufal; and En-Nesyri. El Yamiq, Mazraoui, Amrabat, Chair, Hamdallah and Zarory also played.
