In his opinion, something is going wrong at the rojiblanca factory. One of his solutions to solve the problem was to force inferior teams to play with two center forwards. Another one of having ‘teachers’ who know firsthand how to act as a striker for Athletic.
This reflection in question came to me a few days ago after the public passed the signing of Aduriz as the deputy technical secretary of Mallorca. I have to admit that I don’t fully understand from a football point of view how someone with so much past and such a great career in Athletic is still not linked to the rojiblanco club. Another thing is, of course, the personal or family reasons that everyone has to decide where and when they want to practice their profession, even if it is in another aspect different from the game itself.
Agirreoa, Lafuente, Armando, Aranzubia… Goalkeepers with a history in the First Division, there have been a few in Lezama for many years. Forwards, not so much. And no, I will not leave Valverde. I mean nines.
