Pacheco: another jewel in the crown

Date:

Who says Jon Pacheco, says Don Pacheco. Hatching the young footballer from Real to the first team was enough to take his hat off. He inaugurates the number ’20’ which he wears in a big way, promoting himself as a right cash as the most current and aiming high for the long term. He is an ideal profile of the youth squad for the club, one that is always understood as necessary as a successor to those who have broken the door before and as a mirror for those yet to come.

In three weeks, Pacheco will be 22 years old. To become a central defender, a position historically associated with seniority, he meets all the requirements for a prosperous career. Knowing his potential, Real took the lead in protecting Elizondo, this past summer, until June 2027. His clause is 60 million. Although he spent all of last season in the dynamics of the first team, he has been an all-purpose member since the present.

baztandarra’s response is remarkable. Once he plays three more, he will surpass the 16 official matches he added in 2021/2022, establishing his personal record. Considering there’s half a season left, that would break the record. La Real have lost just three of the 14 games that Pacheco has played this year (Getafe, Betis and United), the last of which tasted victory for qualifying for the Europa League round of 16. The results are collective, but when they become eloquent, they are inevitably attributed to the particular influence of the main characters. La Real won 71% of the games with Pacheco on the field -10 of 14-.

Imanol has four central defenders in the squad. Pacheco is already ‘discussing’ the position of two absolute guarantees such as Le Normand and Zubeldia. The coach uses Aritz Elustondo as a right-back rather than a backbone. In this way, Pacheco stands out as a central defender with more minutes this season (1,126), more than Zubeldia (996) and Le Normand (994), which are almost identical. The Frenchman was injured at the start of the season.

It’s hard to settle down

The Imanol era was a lot in terms of jumping from indigenous players to the first team. Another question is that everyone manages to live in elite football, the big challenge. Jon Pacheco is another gem from Zubieta who was crowned, emulating Aihen Muñoz or Martin Zubimendi, the two homegrown players who most established themselves in the first team with Alguacil as their mentor.

Others like Gorosabel or Guevara made their debut with Eusebio Sacristán, but their most consistent version was with Imanol, even in a tone, if you will, more cautious than Zubimendi or now Pacheco . Barrenetxea debuted five years ago with Asier Garitano and grew up with Imanol, but it is clear that he is experiencing a period of stagnation due to his physical problems.

Zubiaurre, Sola, Turrientes, Navarro and Karrikaburu are the homegrown players currently starting their career in the first team, without reaching the level shown by Pacheco. Left-footed, highly technical, intense, powerful from above and especially gifted in tactical terms, Navarrese is a complete central defender whose virtues go hand in hand with the style that dominates football today. It is one of these Real sensations, without a doubt.
