Ormiston reached the fourth stage of the Tour of Rwanda after a long break from Froome

The mountain day passing through the Ghiswati National Park, was marked by the attack of the British Chris Froome (Israel Premier Tech) where the winner of 4 Tours de France, 2 Vueltas y 1 Giro, remembered his best days on a bicycle.

Froome’s escape is 58 km, but the pressure of the group of favorites and two holes is a drag for the legendary runner of Kenyan origin. He was caught by the main pack and came away with no chance of winning.

In the end, Ormiston made a great attack with 10 km to go that surprised his rivals. He was able to earn a small advantage that decided to launch his professional locker.

This Friday the sixth stage will take the peloton from Rubavu to Gicumbi through 157 km, another mountain race with 2 special category ports, one starts. 2 of the first and last on high after climbing 5.6 km at 4.3 percent.
