Gareth Bale’s successor has been named

Gareth Bale has a replacement as captain Wales national team: Aaron Ramsey, currently a Nice midfielder. Meanwhile, Ben Davies is the new vice-captain. Bale, Wales’ top scorer and most capped player, announced his retirement from football in January.

Rob Page, coach of the said team, summoned Croatia and Latvia to face each other (in the qualifying phase for Euro 2024) four players are yet to make their Welsh debut: Jordan James (Birmingham), Nathan Broadhead (Ipswich Town), Ollie Cooper (Swansea) and 17-year-old Fulham striker Luke Harris.
