Cycling is preparing to live this Saturday one of the first major events of 2023 with the dispute of Milan-San Remo, the first ‘monument’ of the season. The classic campaign accelerates on Italian soil with one of the oldest and most important races on the calendar where, as a World Tour team, Movistar is one of the squads present.
The Spanish team announced on Thursday their line-up for the ‘La Classicisma’, led by the Colombian Fernando Gaviria. This was boosted by his results at the beginning of the season, including second place in Milan-Turin this Wednesday as spear. In addition, he won a stage of the Vuelta a San Juan and added another two second places (second stage of the Argentine race and fifth part of the UAE Tour) and two third places (sixth stage in San Juan and second in the Emirates . ).
