Italy, no Inter or ‘Fiore’ players for the Nations League

The Italian coach, Roberto Mancinipublished this Monday the list of 26 summoned for the final phase of League of Nationswhere the players of Inter and of Fiorentina for the respective European finals, by Sandro Tonali and Giorgio Scalviniwho will join the Sub-21.

Italy, which is facing for the second time in its history the final stage of League of Nationscross again Spain in the semifinals, a match to be played on June 15 in Enschede (Netherlands).

For preparation, the Italian team will meet Rome the following Sunday before moving to Cagliari the following day, where, as he had already done in euro 2020the players will be with their respective families for a few days.

They return to the list after Zacaggni and Immobile, from Lazio, missed out on final call-ups; Locatelli, from Juventus; Florenzi, from Milan; and Zaniolo, from Galatasaray.

The defender Baschirotto, from Lecce, celebrated his team’s survival with his first call to the ‘Azzurra’. In addition, Argentine nationalized Italian Mateo Retegui, a player for Club Atlético Tigre, is again included in the list.

Tonal, from Milan, and scalvinifrom Atalanta, will be part of the Under-21 team in that category’s Eurocup, which will be played in Romania and Georgia between June 21 and July 8.

Italian players from Inter and ‘Fiore’ were sent off from playing in the final of Champions on June 10 and of Conference League on the 7th of the same month, respectively.
