This Wednesday the CSD not only announced the big news of the electoral order that will regulate the electoral process in the federations, starting with the RFEF elections.
The elections to be held in the first half of 2024. Because this Wednesday the Secretary of State for Sports, Victor Francos, signed the petition requested by the Spanish Football Federation so that the elections can be held in the first half of 2024 both for the Assembly as well as for the presidency. Thus rejecting what was established by the Laws of the RFEF, which refers to the obligation to call elections when a president’s term of office has not yet expired.
Elections allowed in the RFEF from the CSD even though it is an Olympic Federation and the rule allows the electoral process to be held in the second half of the Olympic year.
In addition to this advance, Víctor Francos confirmed that he forwarded Miguel Ángel Galan’s complaint to the TAD for not calling an election immediately.
