Ballon d’Or Gala: These are the favorites to win each award

The Ballon d’Or Gala will take place this Monday starting at 8:00 pm and there are many expectations as to who will win. A day that could be historic as everything indicates that Leo Messi will win his eighth award. Here are the favorites for each award:

Undoubtedly, the English team is the most obvious candidate. He won the Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup, achieving the Treble.

Emiliano ‘Dibu’ Martinez

Emi Martínez, better known as ‘Dibu’, is almost certain to replace Thibaut Courtois. He was awarded the best in the World Cup in Qatar and his saves were crucial for Argentina to become champions.

Erling Haaland

Although some consider he should have won the Ballon d’Or, this year Erling Haaland had to settle for the Müller Trophy. This was supported by no less than his 52 goals in 53 games and that won the treble with Manchester City.

After two seasons lacking, there is no doubt that the clear favorite for this edition of the Kopa Trophy, which rewards the best player under the age of 21, is Jude Bellingham. Fundamental in Dortmund and England despite his youth and now he is emerging in Madrid, where he has 13 goals in 13 games.
