Adapted boxing in Spain advances over the weekend (December 15-17), in celebration of special days sponsored by Royal Spanish Boxing Federation. The purpose of activities, as well as Adapted Boxing Committee (CBAE) created within the federative entity, is to introduce this modality and, above all, to gradually integrate as many people as possible.
The environment of La Manga del Mar Menor (Murcia) will host a variety of activities, the main part of which will take place on Saturday 16th. In the morning, at Cabo de Palos Visitor Centerwill be formed II National Adapted Boxing Congress. There will be various presentations there, which will offer a view of it from different angles.
The president of CBAE, Araceli Sánchez Martín, will bring adapted boxing from a therapeutic point of view, while Raúl Camacho, national coach, specialist in this modality and member of the Committee, will offer his technical perspective. In addition, the experience of adapted boxers such as Alberto Carrión and María Eugenia Cano can be counted on. Clarification of the various regulations that will govern the competition is also planned.
The second edition of the National Congress will be accompanied, for the first time, by adapted boxing competition. So, in the afternoon, and on Sports Center of Manga del Mar Menor, known as the first Spanish Adapted Boxing Championship will take place, which will take place in the specialties of forms and fights. In the Olympic boxing form modality, participants must demonstrate their skills in various disciplines, such as mitt work.
For its part, if the necessary conditions are met among registered athletes, a battle will be held, which will be a pioneer in our country and will have an introductory nature. After each competition is completed, medals will be awarded crowning the first Spanish Adapted Boxing champions.
