The Bundesliga This is a unique league. Or at least it was until recently, as the highest organization of German football reached a historic agreement to let investors enter the championship to put money in the search to help the teams.
A measure that didn’t go down well with German fans, who have always prided themselves on leaving the millionaires on the sidelines and doing the clubs on their own. The first reflection of this was seen in the match between Cologne and Borussia Dortmundwhere the followers of both teams clarified their position.
They did it first with anti-agreement banners, in the 13th minute and after scoring Malen, throwing fake coins into the field in protest. It started with Cologne and, when they are collected and the game is ready to continue, the followers of Dortmund.
The match left a unique image, and that was the BVB footballers themselves helping to remove the coins from the grass so they could continue the match.
