Granollers and Zeballos, in the doubles semifinals of Roland Garros

The Catalan Marcel Granollers and the Argentine Horace Zeballos qualified for the semifinals of men’s doubles at Roland Garros by beating season leaders, the Dutchman Wesley Kohloff and the british Neal Skupski, by 3-6, 6-3 and 6-4.

It was their best result as a pair in Paris, the third semifinal of the season after losing Australian Open and Rio de Janeiro.

They will be looking for their third Grand Slam final against Croatian Ivan Dodig and American Austin Krajicek, winner 6-3, 6-7 (9) and 7-6 (12-10) of number one, the American Rajeev Ram and the british Joe Salisburytracking the match ball.

Granollers, champion of the Masters with Mark Lopez in 2012, at the age of 36, he sought to win a Grand Slam record after losing in the finals of Roland Garros at US Open 2014 with now being coach Rafa Nadal and not yet done with Zeballos on US Open 2019 and Wimbledon 2021.

On the other side of the table, semifinals between the Salvadoran -formed duo Marcelo Arevalo and the dutch Jean-Julien Rojer and the binomial consisting of Indian Rohan Bopanna and the dutch Matwe Middlekoop.
