A sum of 12 athletes (6 men and 6 women) They have been selected after meeting the criteria established by coach José Peiró and the RFEA sports management.
The two Spanish distance record holders top the list, the Aragonese Carlos Mayo (59:39) and the Madrid woman Laura Luengo (1:09:41), who last year achieved two records in Valencia.
Among those selected are the two current Spanish distance champions Red Iago (1:01:57 in 2021) and the aforementioned Luengo, a title both achieved last year at Santander; Also, two more test champions like the veteran Javier Guerra (champion in 2016 and 2017) and personal best of 1:01:21 and Meritxell Soler (champion 2022) and 1:10:21 in this 2024 held in Santa Pola.
