‘Little’ Schwartzman says goodbye to Rome for the last time: “Emotionally difficult”

The Argentinian Diego ‘Peque’ Schwartzman He was eliminated this Wednesday at first round of the Rome Masters 1,000 after losing against the Australian Alexander Vukic for double 6-2.

For ‘Peque’ it was his last time in Rome as a tennis player, as he announced his retirement in 2025. He lost and said goodbye to one of the classic tournaments on the circuit.

It was a heavy defeat, a double 6-2 in an hour and a half in a game with no mystery in which he could do nothing, but in which he never stopped smiling.

In the second round, Vukic will face German Alexander ‘Shascha’ Zverev, third favorite to win in Italy.
