Del Bosque and Camacho have an opinion on the dismissal of Xavi

The recent dismissal of Xavi Hernández as coach of FC Barcelona has caused mixed opinions and not only those related to Barcelona fans. Two icons of Real Madrid for their past as footballers, as coaches and as former coaches of the Spanish national team, Vicente del Bosque and José Antonio Camacho openly expressed their opinion about Xavi’s departure from Barça in statements to SER.

Del Bosque expressed his hope that one day Xavi will return to the Barça bench. “Xavi will have a future as a coach and maybe he can return to Barcelona at any moment,” he predicted. What Xavi should have cared more about during his time on the culé bench, it was his speech. “If anything, it’s too blunt, because if you talk too much, you’re messy”, he pointed out. For the rest, he believes that his inheritance is positive. “Xavi was a great experience for him, because he has the ability to lead a team and he showed it,” he reflected.

Camacho also understood that Xavi was very frank about the distance in the current potential between Real Madrid and Barça. “He said that Real Madrid was very strong and they punished him there… in his place I wouldn’t tell him,” he admitted. However, he remembered that “We forgot that the champion of the League was Barça a year ago”said.

The level of Real Madrid, champions of the League and possible champions of Europe, calls into question the competitiveness of the domestic tournament, but Del Bosque and Camacho are confident that there will be a League for the good of the competition. “I, as a fan of Real Madrid, want Madrid to always be at the top, but then I am friends with Laporta, with his son, with Deco, with many people from Barça and with me, if Madrid does not win and they win, nothing happens to me” , warning.
