An original logo that combines three symbols, two of them sports, and one French, in a visual game that has caused a positive consensus among fans. “The medal, the flame, Marianne”: this is how the Committee presented “the new face of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games”.

“The combination of the gold medal, the Olympic flame and Marianne bringing together the values, history and French touch that will make them Olympic Games is really special. This innovative design will be a great calling card for the Paris 2024 Games,” said Pierre-Olivier Beckers-Vieujant, President of the IOC Coordination Commission.

Visually, the first thing you see is the golden color, which corresponds to gold medal. The highest distinction an athlete can achieve at the Olympic Games. The Olympic flame, prominently in the center, is another of the main symbols of the Games. Finally, the logo aims to pay tribute to Marianne, national symbol of France. Marianne embodies the values ​​of the French Republic (‘Liberty, equality, fraternity’) and is also represented in the logo with a face with feminine features.
