The European Cup This Sunday became famous with a serious incident in Hamburg which prompted German police to shoot a man who threatened officials and fans with an axe. A few hours later, at Gelsenkirchenonce again the police were forced to intervene after serious incidents committed by Serbian, Albanian and English hooligans.
Security forces are on alert due to the danger of the most radical fan groups in Serbia and England. Both teams made their debut in the Euro Cup in Veltins-Arena of Gelsenkirchen and there are many fans of both teams who do not want to miss the debut.
Clashes broke out in the early hours of the morning in the city center, when a group of hooded ultras dressed in all black entered a bar where Serbian fans were present. A violent fight broke out with bottles, chairs and tables being thrown, forcing the police to intervene. According to German media, Albanian ultras started the match, with English fans also getting involved.
Medical services treated several fans who suffered cuts and bruises as a result of the fight.
