Fernando Alonso is this weekend at Barcelona due to a misunderstanding with Montmelo of Spanish Formula 1 Grand Prix. Despite his obligations as pilot of Aston MartinI will have more than enough time to go on Sunday afternoon (6:30 pm) to Stage Front Stadium to witness the return match for promotion to First division in between RCD Espanyol and Real Oviedo. In the first leg, the Carbayones won, 0-1.
In statements to the agency EFE, Alonso revealed that “I won’t go for fear of being jinxed. With the Real Oviedo I have a little superstition, because the last time I went to the field for a game was the year they went down Second. Since then, it’s been on my mind.”
And he added “I’ll only be back on the field once we’re inside First division. “I don’t want to jinx them now that they’re fine.”
He also said that “I follow all the games carefully and in detail. On Sunday I watch it on television like ultra. I wish them all the luck in the world.”
