A 42-year-old train driver missed the red light at a level crossing in Graz on Tuesday and collided with a train. The driver and two other passengers suffered minor injuries. The driver initially did not notice the accident and continued driving.
A motorist and his two passengers probably had a lot of luck with a breakdown in the Straßgang district of Graz on Tuesday afternoon. According to police, the 42-year-old driver slowed down at the Hafnerstrasse/Peter-Leardi-Weg intersection because he was blinded by the sun.
He may have missed the red light at an unrestricted GKB level crossing. At that moment, a passenger train crossed the intersection and collided with the car. According to police, the driver did not notice the collision and continued driving.
The driver and two passengers were slightly injured, but refused further medical treatment after emergency services.
