On Friday, two minors (14 and 15 years old) allegedly broke into a classmate’s apartment in Vienna-Landstraße after stealing the key to his apartment during class.
According to the police, the two suspects also stole money from the classmate’s school bag. Shortly after the burglary, the victim and his parents reported to a police inspection that his apartment had been broken into and named the two classmates as suspects.
Burglarized twice
During the investigation, it was discovered a little later that the two minors broke into the classmate’s apartment twice with the stolen key, allegedly stealing cash in the high three-digit range and a ring. They allegedly tried to break open a door in the apartment.
15 year old confesses
During the house searches of the two suspects, the police managed to secure the stolen apartment keys in a hiding place. Unlike the 14-year-old, the 15-year-old confessed during the interrogation. Both were widely reported.
