The Olympic pistachio Albert Torres will test your fitness against Paris 2024 Games this weekend at the Ghent Velodrome on the occasion of Belgian Open Track Meetingwhere the Spanish team will attend with runners from the junior, sub23 and elite categories.
From next Friday, June 28 to Sunday, June 30, the Spanish track team will experience a new competitive journey with their participation in the Belgian event, of the CL1 category, which will take place at the Eddy Merckx Velodrome in Ghent.
For the occasion, the national coach Felix Garcia Casas called the following cyclists: Leyre Almena, Daniela Grañana, Héctor Álvarez and Rubén Sánchez in the junior category; Marina Garau, Izzy Escalera, Eva Anguela, Ainara Albert, Francesc Bennassar and Álvaro Navas in sub23; and Albert Torres as the only elite runner.
The Belgian Open Track Meeting will have unique participation in each of the categories and, therefore, will be a good opportunity for Albert Torres to add days of competition before facing the great goal of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
In addition, this CL1 presence will also allow juniors and U23s to tune up before the European Championship in the same category, which will be held in the German town of Cottbuss from July 9 to 14.
