Humbert, as 20 of the ATP ranking and second contest leader, clearly defeated his rival (6-1, 6-4) at a meeting where he did not lose one of his services and where he connected a total of 21 winning blows.
Diallo, as 55 in the world, surprised Khachanov, a third favorite winner of the contest, in a suitable match (7-6, 6-4) in which Canada scored 19 points for direct service.
Humbert and Diallo will face the first time this Saturday to find the final contest with Russian Daniil Medvedev as the main favorite.
