Sales of electrified vehicles (electric and plug-in hybrids, including passenger cars, quadricycles, commercial and industrial vehicles and buses) totaled 7,849 units, up 4% from the same month of the previous year.
Electric vehicle sales rose 31% in July to 2,620 registered units in this month. It represents 3.02% of the market share in the month. For the full year, sales of these vehicles were 19,361 units, 49.6% more than in the same period of the previous year. The share of the accrued year is 3.42%
Among the total sales, the Dacia Spring stands out, which became the best-selling electric vehicle in Spain in July, with 13.1% of the market share for private individuals, making it the preferred electric vehicle of the Spaniards.
The car is positioned as a city vehicle with an SUV look, 100% electric and accessible. Its simplicity of use and charging, and its autonomy – which can reach up to 305 km in the city (WLTP urban cycle, 230 km in the mixed WLTP cycle) – make it a good mobility solution for most Spaniards who do not travel more than 30 km per day.
In total sales, however, the electric car with the most registrations on the market is a “made in Spain”, the Citroën ë-C4, which took first place in the table of electric sales by batteries thanks to the 165 units it has on sale. market, for a price that starts for this 100% electric version at around 34,900 euros.
The second position would be for the Dacia Spring, which adds 163 registrations thanks to its first position in the private channel. The Hyundai Kona, with 126 units, settles for third place, while the new electric Renault Megane E-Tech rises to fourth place with 113 units, and the Cupra Born closes the top five after registering 105 units.
