A crook abused a 79-year-old mother’s care for her daughter and demanded a bail of about 50,000 euros from the elderly woman from Linz because the daughter was in custody after a fatal accident as the cause.
A 79-year-old from Linz was approached by telephone early Friday afternoon by an unknown perpetrator. He pretended to be a police officer and announced that the victim’s daughter had caused a serious traffic accident and the opponent of the accident had died.
Gold, jewels and money gone
That is why the daughter is now in custody and can only be released on bail of about 50,000 euros. The 79-year-old accepted the demands and moments later handed over gold, jewelry and money to the unknown perpetrator.
