A 29-year-old woman was arrested Sunday night for domestic violence in her apartment in Vienna-Neubau. The woman’s partner had alerted police after his partner attacked him with a knife and allegedly cut his arm.
When police arrived, the woman’s 30-year-old friend was waiting in the stairwell and stated that his drunk girlfriend had become aggressive and had injured him with a knife. The 29-year-old denied that. She has been provisionally detained.
Alcohol test showed 1.66 per thousand
The suspected murder weapon was found in the kitchen. An alcohol test performed on the suspect showed a value of 1.66 per mille. As police spokesman Christopher Verhnjak announced on Sunday, the suspect is likely to consume alcohol and behave aggressively when under the influence.
Her partner received first aid from the emergency services and was taken to a hospital.
