On June 11 of this year, the police in Vienna-Floridsdorf were alerted that a 33-year-old caller was allegedly assaulted. After a long search, the police still had no trace, for the following reason: the woman only invented the robbery, according to recordings from a surveillance camera now.
The allegedly robbed made an emergency call in the morning because her handbag was stolen after visiting the bank – at least that’s her description. The bag was allegedly stolen by an unknown man. It contained several thousand euros. The police immediately launched a search, several emergency services tried to find a clue, but without success.
Robbery was fictional
As evidenced by surveillance camera evaluations, the woman never had a handbag with her. So the robbery couldn’t have happened at all. After repeated questioning, the woman finally admitted that she had only staged the robbery. The reason for this would have been a lack of money.
She was reported on suspicion of cheating, threatening action and false evidence.
