Attempted rape on her way home from shopping: According to police, a young woman in Wiener Neustadt, Lower Austria, had to go through this horrible experience. The hitherto unknown attacked his victim on a dirt road.
The crime happened in broad daylight around 4:15 p.m., according to police. The young woman was on her way home from a shopping center and was walking down a dirt road near the Warme Fischa Stream, but apparently hadn’t noticed her pursuer.
Victim resisted vigorously
With a push from behind, he lowered the young woman to the ground, threw himself on her and tried to rape her. However, his victim fought back and started screaming loudly. The man let go of the woman and ran away. She suffered serious injuries in the attack and had to be taken to hospital, the company said.
On Monday, photos were published on behalf of the public prosecutor in Wiener Neustadt, showing the wanted person.
