In Landl in the Liezen district (Styria) a dog ran onto the street on Monday, killing two motorcycle police officers. The two men were injured, one seriously. Now the dog owner must be questioned.
At about 3:25 p.m., two police officers (49 and 59) were on their motorcycles as a civilian patrol in Kirchenlandl on the B115 from Großreifling towards Hieflau. At kilometer 92.946, a dog suddenly crossed the road, causing both motorcyclists to fall. The 49-year-old suffered serious injuries and the 59-year-old suffered minor injuries.

After first aid, the 49-year-old was taken to UKH Kalwang by the rescue helicopter and the 59-year-old by the Red Cross. The 75-year-old dog owner will be questioned in the coming days. The dog is a 13 ½ year old mountain hunting dog.
