After a baby went missing from a shopping center in Leipzig on Thursday, the police were still feverishly searching for the four-month-old baby on Friday. Now the child was discovered in another state – a woman was arrested who is said to have disappeared with the boy.
“The baby is apparently doing well, but the health condition is still being examined by the rescuers just to be sure,” a police spokeswoman from Leipzig said on Friday. The boy was discovered in a woman’s apartment in Brandenburg.
Mother only left baby to friend for a short time
The baby’s mother had left the baby to the acquaintance for a short time on Thursday afternoon while shopping in a shopping center in Leipzig. Then the woman with the pram was gone. Police initially gave no further information about the woman or her motive on Friday.
