A man on the Wiener Gurtel has exhibited extremely dangerous behavior. The suspect ran into the road again and again on Saturday night. When the police wanted to put an end to the crowds, the alleged perpetrator attacked one of the officers.
It was used shortly after 1 a.m. at Europaplatz in the Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus district of Vienna. The 37-year-old suspect became “extremely aggressive” when seeing officers, the police reported on Saturday. He squeezed a uniformed officer in the leg and injured the police officer so badly that he had to stop working.
The alleged perpetrator was initially hospitalized in accordance with the Housing Act. The prosecutor’s office later ordered the arrest on suspicion of resisting state authority and inflicting serious bodily harm.
