Mail delivery in the Salzburger Flachgau is currently very difficult in many places. Letters, parcels and magazines arrive late or not at all. Now people fear for the voting cards for the presidential elections.
“Extremely annoying. But unfortunately not an isolated case.” Gotthard Eder from Oberndorf sums it up. Like many other residents of Flachgau, he is currently struggling with the poor postal delivery. More and more “Krone” readers are reporting and pointing out the current shortcomings. Concerned people from Flachgau sometimes receive magazines double, other important documents do not arrive at all.An elderly lady from Lamprechtshausen reports: “If there is mail in the letterbox, it is often from the neighbours.”
Curious: the letters of a family from Seekirchen regularly end up in a nearby bakery – reported the “Krone”. “We don’t just get our cakes, we also get our letters,” it sounds with a pinch of gallows humor.
These complaints are not new. Last autumn there were already problems with the mail delivery in Flachgau. “I’m really afraid I won’t get my presidential election voting card,” a Flachgauer said in an interview with “Krone.”
