Self-employed persons and Basque SMEs receive support from up to €34,000 to renew their heavy vehicles in a new call for the Truck Renewal Planwhich the Basque government will activate from morningTuesday.
The Minister of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment of the Basque Government, Arantxa Tapia, presented the details of the plan, endowed with seven million euros, to the representatives of the transport associations Asetrabi, Gitrans and Arasur.
To access the aid, applicants must meet two requirements: firstly, that the vehicle to be replaced has been registered in the Spanish State before 1 January 2019 and that it is intended for Scrap. In addition, a maximum aid limit of 10 vehicles per applicant and a maximum of five with Euro VI-E diesel engines is set. For self-employed persons, the limit is one vehicle per applicant.
The subsidies go from 14,100 euros planned for self-employed persons and SMEs for trucks between 3.5-5 tons (with CNG, LNG, biomethane technology) —13,750 euros for large companies— up to 34,000 over 16 tons —the limit is 30,500 for large companies—.
According to sources in the sector, a tractor head costs at least 95,000 euros (excluding VAT), the trailer must be added, which can be done from 36,000 euros.
