A woman from Graz recently made an unusual discovery at the exit of the Autobahn in Trieben towards Graz in Styria: there was a snake in the hard shoulder! The woman from Graz packed the animal and took it to experts.
Where others panic, the woman from Graz stopped to help the animal. The woman knows exactly how to do this, after all, she learned it a few years ago during an internship at a reptile zoo.
She deftly grabbed the young python, about four feet in length, and stuffed it into an insulating bag, which she happened to have in her car. Back in the car, she called reptile and amphibian expert Werner Stangl’s phone number.

“She was on her way to Graz and offered to bring the python to me,” Stangl said in an interview with “Steirerkrone”. He received the animal and found it in excellent general condition: “Well fed, not a single scale had fallen out, the python seems to be doing very well!”
He suspects that the snake has been left behind and will therefore report it.
