The economy of the Basque Autonomous Community will grow by 4.3% this year and 2.1% next year. The Basque government has revised its economic forecasts for 2022 and 2023 downwards and reduced economic growth, following the “shocks” that have “shaken” the global economy “already weakened by the pandemic”.
The reduction will mainly affect 2023, when the expected growth will be halved. In one quarter, it fell from 4.1% to 2.1%. For 2022, the forecast has changed less: from 4.5% to 4.3%.
