Shock to a cleaning lady in the Waldviertel town of Gmünd: When she took the garbage to the garage, she discovered her boss’s charred Jaguar. The detective’s investigation is still ongoing.
A case in the Waldviertel district town of Gmünd is currently a mystery to detectives: A cleaning lady found the charred remains of an old Jaguar coupe in a garage in the city bordering the Czech Republic.
Fire department ventilated garage
The fire brigade was quickly alerted to ventilate the room. She probably only discovered the sports car of the more than 70-year-old doctor days after the fire because she took the garbage to the containers in the garage.
Charred Jaguar seized by prosecutor
The car has been seized by the Public Prosecution Service, to be determined for arson. According to research by “Krone”, there is currently no evidence of an external ignition source. The only thing that seems odd is that the car fire didn’t alert residents because of the background noise.
