Wild scenes took place in the Tyrolean Ötztal on Friday evening: after two drivers provoked each other with risky driving maneuvers, a duel broke out during a stopover, with fists flying. One of those involved became unconscious.
The two rioters – a local (33) and a 23-year-old German – got in each other’s way around 8:30 p.m. on the B186 Ötztal Straße near Oetz. According to the police, there were risky driving maneuvers in which the two drivers may have provoked each other.
Lost consciousness for a moment
Then they both stopped – they got out of their vehicles and hit each other. “The German hit the Austrian in the face, after which he fell and remained unconscious for a short time,” the researchers said.
The local suffered injuries and a concussion. He was admitted to Zams Hospital.
