Shortly after noon on Saturday in an apartment in Innsbruck, a 44-year-old shot his opponent (35) twice in the face with a “pepper gun” during an argument and then attacked him with a knife. The victim was seriously injured and the 44-year-old was arrested.

Desert scenes took place around 1 p.m. in an apartment building in the Olympic Village in Innsbruck. Two local residents had apparently been arguing in an apartment over money and debt.

After the initial verbal altercation, the 44-year-old pulled out a “pepper gun” and shot the younger of the two twice in the face. “Then he attacked his victim with a knife and seriously injured his left hand and left thigh,” police said.

The 35-year-old was taken to the Innsbruck clinic by the rescue team and hospitalized. The 44-year-old was arrested and taken to the Innsbruck Police Station. The investigation is underway.
