A postman in Ottakring turned a stairwell into an unsecured letter depot.
Residents of the area around Hasnerstraße in Ottakring have probably wondered in recent days why they didn’t have any mail in their letterboxes. A stairwell at 148 Hasnerstrasse was quickly converted into an unsecured mail depot.
Krone reader Dagmar K. initially thought the postman had forgotten the mail in a hurry, but more letters arrived the next day! This also includes an RSa document that may only be delivered to the recipient himself.
Also the customer service could not help Ms. K.. So just to be safe, she took the remaining shipments to the nearest post office in Thaliastrae. But instead of a friendly thank you, she was even shouted at the counter. The Post’s response: “We have a new employee at this address who appears to be delivering mail for other addresses. We can only apologize for this error.”
