The previous Federal President took exactly 69 swearing-ins during his term in the Maria Theresa Hall of the Vienna Hofburg. It will probably be decided on Sunday which gentleman will be sworn in as the new head of state and will stay in the most famous bedroom in the country. It was exactly this room that the only female ruler of the House of Habsburg used as a sleeping apartment after the death of her husband Franz Stephan von Lothringen in 1765: for 15 years – she too died here in 1780.
