This could have ended badly! A particularly cheeky fruit (13) had no better idea than to grab his mother’s car in the early hours of Sunday morning in the Tyrolean community of Waidring (Kitzbühel district) and go for a drive with two friends (both 14). The trio ended up with the car in a water-bearing ditch.
Apparently they couldn’t sleep anymore, so they met at the 13-year-old’s home in Waidring on Sunday morning. The young Tyroleans came up with the idea of going for a ride in the boy’s mother’s car. But around 6:20 am their journey ended in a ditch.
According to police, the 13-year-old who was driving should have left the snow-covered road in the area of the old state highway and then drove over a meadow. “After about 100 meters, the car fell into a small water-bearing ditch,” the director said.
Boys slightly injured
All three occupants suffered minor injuries and had to be taken to hospital in St. Johann in Tirol by the rescue team. One of the two 14-year-olds has been hospitalized for observation. The vehicle was probably a total loss.
