The baby killer from Graz’s short prison term – 17 years after a life sentence – is causing a stir. But most convicts are released early.
They only lived a few hours and were tortured to death shortly after birth. The four babies found in 2005 on a property on the outskirts of Graz – two in the basement of the house, in a freezer; two concreted in paintings. The perpetrator, the mother of the children – Regine K. (name changed) – was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2006. Her partner was given 15 years off for complicity.
The man was released some time ago, just like the 49-year-old last summer. How this early release was possible and why one of her former cell neighbors, “Eislady” Estibaliz C., doesn’t have high hopes for a quick release.
