“Woodstock”, who can no longer move his hind legs after an accident, disappeared without a trace from the garden in Lower Austria. After a long search, the owners are sure: he has been kidnapped!
The English Setter mix “Woodstock” has seen a lot at the age of five. He was found three years ago in Slovakia with broken vertebrae. Although his life was saved, he has since been unable to move his hind legs. The dog came to Austria through an animal welfare organization before finding a new home with Marco Poiß (25) in a settlement in Sollenau in the Wiener Neustadt district. There he lived a happy dog life using a special wheelchair.
“Suddenly he was gone”
Until he disappeared from the garden without a trace. “He was out of action for only five minutes. Suddenly he was gone,” says Poiß. A major search was launched, in which the tracking dog squadron “Spürnasen” took part. Because the dogs had lost sight of a nearby parking lot, it was for everyone clear: “Woody” must have been kidnapped.
Dirty and shaking
The bastard’s fate was uncertain for hours before he was found on the edge of a forest. “He was dirty and was shaking all over,” says his master. He assumes that the unknown kidnapper developed cold feet. “We’re glad ‘Woodstock’ is back. But it is of course very inconvenient that we do not know who took him,” said Poiss. He has filed a report and the police are investigating.
