Fellow agents of the ertzaina Txema Agirre paid tribute to him this Thursday next to the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of his murder by ETA.
Ertzaintza Directors Victoria Landa and Human Rights, Victims and Diversity Directors Monika Hernando, along with members of Ertzaintza headquarters and fellow Txema Agirre agents, offered a flower offering in his memory.
The event took place at 12:30 p.m. on the esplanade of the Guggenheim Museum, near the site where Aguirre was shot by members of ETA on October 17, 1997.
Through social networks, the Lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu, yesterday recalled Agirre and showed his solidarity with all those who have suffered “directly or indirectly” from the “injustice” of ETA.
