The police were in the right place at the right time on Wednesday evening: Their actual job was to arrest a 64-year-old in Vienna-Favoriten for failing to pay administrative fines totaling around 6,000 euros. But during this arrest, they suddenly heard a loud bang.
At 2 a.m., officers saw how a high-speed drunk driver had damaged several parked vehicles on Laar-Berg-Straße and attempted to flee.
