Many people will be without electricity, hot water and heating,” he said Friday in an interview with APA on the occasion of the Day of the Defenders of Ukraine. Chymynez also called for further sanctions, for example against the Russian nuclear company Rosatom.
Ukrainians urgently need generators, warm clothes and gear, and winter-proof sleeping bags, Chymynez explained. At the same time, the ambassador thanked the Austrian federal government, the state governments and the population for their previous support. “We are very grateful to the Austrian government and society for supporting Ukraine despite the difficulties caused by inflation.” In view of the missile strikes, Ukraine’s air defense system is particularly essential.
Ambassador: ‘Europe is being terrorized with nuclear energy’
Sanctions against Russia would work, Chymynez stressed. So it is clear that the Russian armed forces would not have spare parts and adequate equipment.
